Routhost Webhosting Review

I spent weeks trying to find the best webhost around.

I finally decided on Routhost, primarily because of the the excellent plans they offer for such low rates. However, after signing up, I was extremely pleased with them all around: their customer service was excellent (responses within hours) and always provided the answers I needed. The staff is very friendly as well as helpful, which is always appreciated when searching for a webhost.

The speed is very good although not the best. Above average, though.

They offer manual and automatic billing.

Insofar, I have not noticed any downtime. I was contact once, however, notifying me of a few hours downtime in the middle of the night--I hadn't even noticed. They gave me a free month of hosting in return.

Excellent host, no plans on switching anytime soon. :)

Excellent uptime and reliability

I always rely on Routhost to keep my sites up no matter what... unless you need a lot of bandwidth. That's really the only problem, you do not get nearly enough space or bandwidth for a larger site with lots of visitors. But customer service is great--they gave me an extra few GB one month for free when I went over the limit.

Biggest Pro: reliable, good uptime
Biggest Con: too expensive for what you get, as compared to other companies
