Reliable hosting with a large amount of diskspace and bandwidth

Since leaving Dreamhost in May of 2007, I've entrusted my hosting to Power360 after seeing a recommendation for them elsewhere, and so far have been very impressed.

The package I am on offers a generous 2.5 GB diskspace and 50 GB bandwidth - which is a more than ample and scaled amount, when considering that some webhosts I've used in the past only provided around 2-3x the bandwidth of the disk space they were providing you.

In terms of reliability, I have had a grand total of 13 outages this year - averaging around one per month, with exception of May being particularly unreliable with 8 outages; all bringing my total average uptime to 99.829% (as monitored by SiteUptime.com) - very reasonable when considering that my package is just $4.99 per month.

As far as the network itself goes, tests from my end in the UK show that Power360 use Cogent as a peering partner, which concerned me at first because of some of the horror stories I'd read about Cogent, but on closer testing and scrutiny I often receive a better ping rate than that of Google.com - I average around 95 - 105 ms, whereas their privately-peered connection averages only 120-140 ms. As well as ping rates, I have also tested bandwidth issues and found that the shared account can easily offer a large download throughput, making it suitable for file hosting and sites of the same ilk; although I'd personally recommend a dedicated server for such activity.

Finally, the technical support I've received from Power360 has been, on the whole, very speedy, with one exception being during a phase of outages in May when no answers were given; but seeing as the package is currently the cheapest I have found that allows adult material to be hosted, it can only be expected that the emphasis is more on you bringing your own technical experience to the table, and being able to cope with a few outages per month, although it should be noted that such outages lasted for less than 30 minutes on average.

Biggest Pro: Price to storage/bandwidth ratio
Biggest Con: Guaranteed to be at least one outage per month
