DO NOT USE HOSTING.COM (SERVICE & CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE)

RodeoAve.com had contract with Hosting.com (Now HostMySite.com) for more than a year.

However, when we had a problem with co-location service, they DID NOT resolve it.

We could not update or maintain company servers for more than a month. I really doubt the ability and technical skills for this company.

As e-commerce company, updating/maintaining server is a key to providing a better experience for customer satisfaction. How can company make better shopping experience for customer, if we're having trouble with updating/maintaining our servers?

Company had NO OPTION to cancel the service and look for other company.

And after server was re-located, PROBLEM WAS ALL RESOLVED. WE had no problem on updating/maintaining company server, and we were able resolve our customers issues without further delays.

I personally wrote e-mail, called billing dept. to resolve issues such as billing, but for more than 3 months, they have not returned any of my e-mails or calls. What kind of service is this?

After account was cancelled, Hosting company send me a bill for remaining contract period (By the way, after year of contract, it renews automatically). If we want to cancel, we have to send written notification of 60 days before. In my opinion, this is a bad business practice, in which this doesn't provide any options for customer at all. They can provide supposedly the 'best'(?) service for 10 months, and after they don't help your problems, then customer misses the ONLY cancellation time for the contract. By the 11th month, then YOU'RE TOO LATE to make cancellation. Which means, your contract is renewed NO MATTER WHAT THE LEVEL OF SERVICE AGREEMENT IS.

You'd have to use the service for next 10 or 11 months, and then you can cancel the contract without any penalties.

We strongly believe that Hosting.com (now HostMySite.com) is NOT THE COMPANY WE CAN'T TRUST.

I strongly urge you to read carefully about company's business practice.

Very Slow Downloads

Hosting.com is the new name for my host, Hostmysite.com.

At 25.00 a month, I should have moved long ago!

Bottom line:
3min. to download 60MB file from my site. Tested time with same file off of vimeo.com 1min.
Tech support gave me a list of why it's not their problem.

Biggest Con: over priced and very slow
