Will suspend your account when its not your fault,

I went with them following the endless dodgey buy hosting pages on the first pages of google. These companies make up these websites to promote their site as the #1 web hosting.

I am a intermediate user and not too tecky, but ok. So my needs were very basic and simple.

Their website building software is rubish and very basic. Templates are cheap and tacky.

I installed joomla recently and a third party probably used my bandwidth, they suspended my account and blocked all my sites, instead of just that site, furthermore the hack was due to their poor security and nothing to do with me.

2 weeks almost offline. They dont listen to what you have to say and there is no one to complain to, support staff tell you what you can and cant do and they dont want to know or care of anything else. There is no senior management available to write to or who can deal with real concerns , such as mine, as the hack had nothing to do with me.

BEST ADVICE : AVOID

Get what you pay for

I found out that Host Excellence is also IX Web Hosting and who know how many other web hosts.

They have good uptime, but that is only half of web hosting.

I find their database access times to be very slow at times which will make any database driven website seem like it is crawling.

Their email service works, but adding email accounts would take forever for their server to respond. I sent in trouble tickets with poor replies like "we see no problem at our end" or "the server was down for maintenance" and yet the problem persists.

I will be leaving their service when my contract is up and finding somebody that wants my business.
