Good for its purposes, but dont expect more
This is some of the cheapest hosting out there, it is suitable for the smallest of sites that operate on a low budget. The concern with most hosts is that they will disappear in a few months; which is often the case. Bihira is not going anywhere, they have been around for years and will certainly be around for many more. They offer unlimited bandwidth, but that goes the same as any other host that offers it; they are lying. What that needs to be read as is that a small site wont have to worry about bandwidth. So understand that their plans are only suitable for small sites that dont demand much CPU or bandwidth.
In the end, I take my serious business needs to a VPS with another company. This is because any down time is unacceptable for my business and I need root access to the server. I am currently finishing out the last month of my contract with Bihira and dont intend on renewing because my needs exceed what they offer. This is in my opinion the best starter host out there.
Biggest Pro: Price
Biggest Con: Quality
Solid Hosting for Cheap
For the four months I have hosted my site on Bihira, I have had a very positive experience. The main reason I chose Bihira was the very cheap price ($2.50 per month). Even at this price, you get all the features you would expect from a more expensive host. I was a little worried about uptime, but there has only been one day during the last four months when my site endured considerable downtime. I appreciate the fact that the owner is very upfront about downtime issues. He posts notices when downtime is expected, and explains unexpected outages in the forum. Support is probably Bihira’s weakest area, as there is only one main guy running the site. I posted a help ticket once, but eventually figured it out myself before they got back to me. Even with the shared hosting, though, my site has been responsive, reliable, and quick to load. Overall, Bihira provides great service for the price, especially if you don’t frequently need support.
Biggest Pro: very cheap
Biggest Con: not the best support
