Webstyz hosting Review

I've been hosted with Websytz for quite some time. When I first found them, they were much better value for money than most, and seem to have stayed that way. I was first attracted because they offered PHP and MySQL and back in 2001 that usually cost a fair bit more than plain hosting. Okay, now it is common and so not the big attraction it was back then. Initially I was getting 100Mb of disk space for $4.99 a month, but that increased to a much more generous 1Gb of disk space a couple of years ago. And with a 50Gb transfer allowance, well I'm never going to get near that, so it is certainly good enough for my needs.

As a designer i often dump a trial copy of a new site there for customers to view, and none have every said it was a problem. so downtime seems reasonable. Like all hosts, they have dropped out a couple of times over the years, but I have no real complaints.

The only thing I don't like is the Plesk control panel, which seems harder to navigate around that others I've used - perhaps I'm more familiar with my own customers' cpanels than my own.

When I have had problems, they have been faster to respond than some other hosts that my clients use, and are quite friendly in their replies.

Biggest Pro: Cheap for the amount of disk space
Biggest Con: Don't like the control panel
