Vision Web Hosting Would Not Give You Your MONEY back
I could not manage to get the customer service to answer basic questions about how to work with their system. To be precise, I am hosting a java application that runs on a tomcat server and uses an sql database. I needed to know how to connect to their database system and how to deploy my application on their tomcat server. All I got from the customer service after 3 e-mails in 2 days was a link to their FAQ section which still did not answer my questions. You cannot even reach them by phone or live chat as they advertised. This kind of customer service is redicoulous to say the least after paying fully for 2 years of service when I registered with them. Also, my website was still sitting on the drawing board. So, I searched for another company: www.eapps.com which was much more responsive. My website was online within a day, I payed a fraction of the amount compared to vision hosting, and I got way more options and features with the hosting package from
eapps.com. Now, I cancelled my account with vision hosting and requested a refund. The money should be back in my hands, according to their terms and agreement is 48 hours. I cancelled my account since Jun 11th, and I've not gotten a penny back from the $480.00 I paid for 2 years of hosting. Hope that gives you a clearer picture.
All this is not supprising though, because communcating with the company has giving me enough evidence to know that this web hosting company currently exists for one reason: to take money from customers. Now that's fine, if they offer a good service in return; however, they absolutely don't. There is one method of contacting the company. sales@visionwebhostingllc.net. All other contact methods advertised would get you no response. The response you get is very predictable, a reference to their FAQ section (clear sign that you are not talking to an expert). Also, they don't directly bill you, a third party billing client does billing for them (swreg.org). Lastly, the only impressive thing about their company is that they are ranked #1 on google if you search for "java web hosting". This is how they lure in customers, take their money and fail to give good service or refunds: it is a well designed scam machine that should be exposed.
