I will make this simple... I purchased the most expensive virtual server option Startlogic offers ($169./mo) and moved my hosting business to their server farm in California.
I can't speak to the hosting they give their individual clients for a few bucks a month, but they are ill-equiped to provide service for clients at the server level.
After my server was hacked (not blaming them) I called and (urgently)requested options. NO service response took less than HOURS.
On two occasions I requested that they simply recycle the box (turn it off and on) - the first time it took three phone calls and SIX (!) hours; the second time they took 14 hours (!!) and then arbitrarily informed me that they had shut down the box! This, on a sunday morning when, they say, there are no admionistrators or other supervisors available to deal with the situation... This they have shut down my business and left me unable to copy or transfer data to a new and more competant hosting company.
