Zogmo or LakotaData whatever they decide to call themselfs now...
Ok here's the story: We hosted our webservers with these guys for several years now. The customer service technicians seem to have sufficient knowledge. However, lately Zogmo has renamed itself into LakotaData, conveniently just as they were too incompetent to fight a DDOS attack, possibly coming from their rival company. This is affecting our business terribly.
1.Uptime and Reliability - They has frequent power failures at some point.
2.Server and Connection speed - No protection from DDOS, therefore expect regular packet dropouts, people can't load our website properly in their browser, the CSS template corrupts when the packets drop.
3. Whilst they have enough technical knowledge to do a completely custom OS installation for you, they don't have the knowledge to protect their entire network from attackers targeting a whole subnet.
4.Customer Service - I'l give them an 8 there because they do try hard.
5.Value for money - Price is a bit too high for what you get once you customiser your server. It's almost the same as rackspace. You could go inmotionhosting , save about $20 a month and get a service 100x better overall.
We'l probably switch over to another provider in the near future. Biggest Pro: Completely Custom OS Installation - You ask for it you get it. Biggest Con: Packet Dropouts and Low Internet Connection Speed
