Do you have more than 1 web site?Host Gator lets you host as many web sites as you want in 1 account. This is a great way to save money if you have more than 1 web site, or if you plan on opening more in the near future. |

| I switched from a plan on Invotion which was sold to half price hosting. I thought I would give them a shot since it's only about $100 per year for the space.
Everything was fine until I tried to post a windows media file in a folder for a client to see. Then the errors started.
After contacting TS, this is what I was sent as a reply:
The following file types are not allowed on the Quickserve plan: mp* qt qtm mov avi rm mpeg mov mpe mpg mus wmv movie au mid* m3u ram ra wav
!!!!!!!!!
Need I say more? I've never heard of such a limitation. Why not just add HTML!!!!!

| Sounded great when I signed up, but experience has taught me otherwise. Technical support has dwindled away to virtually nothing. Prices were increased without notice. Their 90-day money back guarantee was changed to 30 days
without notice. Their claim of 99.9% uptime has conveniently disappeared from the website which is good, because I've been experiencing 93%-95% uptime over the past few weeks, which is totally unacceptable. They tend to not answer e-mails at all, and if they do, they avoid addressing any major issues in the e-mail. I asked if I could expect uptime to improve - the response was essentially "everything will be better now". I even read some reviews about them on a major web host review/directory site - one of the glowing
reviews had been posted by a HPH employee, Heath Cohen. I know he's an employee because I corresponded with him to take advantage of the money-back guarantee. At least have the good sense to use a fake name, guys! AVOID THIS HOST. |
