Eastsolid- My pick for the best host in town :P

I would recommend Eastsolid to anyone who is looking to start a website, and has a good knowledge of HTML. Their serbvice is great,live chat tech support, email tickets (answered very quickly), and even though they do not have a site builder (like 1and1), it is not limiting for people with web programming knowledge. Their plans are sometimes limiting in size (500 mb is the smallest), but that issue is made up by the cheap prices (for that account, ~$30US a year). I would strongly recommend them, but if you are totally without HTML knowledge and would like a easy site builder, probably look elsewhere.

Biggest Pro: Great support
Biggest Con: Low disk space

Great stuff from EastSolid

A great hosting company, simply because they are so friendly and knowledgeable about the business they are in. Support staff are online most of the time and tickets always get answered pronto. Any downtime is always explained (and forewarned if it's planned) and their servers are fast as anything (quad core Xeons). All the plans are excellent value for money and their home-grown billing and customer management system is great.

Software is always kept up to date - cPanel was recently updated to 11 and accounts can run PHP5, Ruby on Rails, Perl etc.

A couple of negative points - cPanel and WHM can be a bit slow at times (try using an unencrypted/non-SSL connection) and some details on their site are a bit lax. Apart from that, however, an awesome host (at awesome prices). Keep up the good work ES! :-)
